Through the current recruitment notice, the bank is going to appoint the right candidates for the one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB). It should be noted that the candidates interested need to fulfill the eligibility criteria so as to be able to take part in the recruitment process. All those candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s course and are in search of Govt Jobs after Graduation are available to apply for the post. It should also be noted that such candidates must also fall under the age category of 20 years and 28 years so as to be able to apply for the post. The age relaxations are applicable for the post as mentioned below.

Selection Methodology for Indian Bank Probationary Officer Post:

After the completion of the process of the Indian Bank Recruitment 2016, the applicants will be called to attend the different stages of selection. Based on their performances in different stages, a final list of merit candidates will be made to whom the post will be allocated and taken under training. The selection process involves the following stages.

  • Stage-I: Preliminary Examination
  • Stage-II: Mains Examination
  • Stage-III: Personal Interview

The different stages of examinations have been mentioned below clearly.

Examination Pattern for Prelims:

Prelims will be for 100 maximum marks which are required to be completed in a time duration of 60 minutes. The paper pattern will be as follows.

  • Section-I: Reasoning for 35 Marks
  • Section-II: English Language for 30 Marks
  • Section-III: Quantitative Aptitude for 35 Marks

Examination Pattern for Mains:

Mains, on the other hand, will also be of objective type with a maximum time duration of 120 minutes for 200 marks

  • Section-I: Reasoning for 50 Marks
  • Section-II: English Language for 40 Marks
  • Section-III: Quantitative Aptitude for 50 Marks
  • Section-IV: General Awareness for 40 Marks
  • Section-V: Computer Knowledge for 20 Marks

After the Mains objective test, there will be a Descriptive Paper which will be asked for 20 marks and is required to be completed in 30 maximum minutes. The descriptive papers of only those candidates who qualify in Mains and Prelims will be evaluated.
